For Gallery Kari is more a personal, artist website. As a kid Kari played with terracotta clay in her Dad’s studio. It wasn’t fired to suit her three year old sense of aesthetics! So she became a musician! However she always “made stuff” with her hands, from fabric, from timber, with beads and silver, multimedia and whatever materials came her way. She pioneered performance pottery at Woodford Folk festival in an ongoing project called Illuminated Hands, and instigates cross artform projects. More recently her work explores an emotive story, reaching out with themes of loss and renewal.
